RUGBY HIGHLIGHTS: Rousing haka for Jerry Collins as stadium renamed in his honour

Jerry Collins' old club, Norths Rugby, have paid tribute to the All Black legend by performing a haka at the renaming of Porirua Park Stadium today.

The ground where All Black Jerry Collins began his rugby career has been renamed in his honour, now known as Jerry Collins Stadium at Porirua Park.

The move comes almost 10 months after Collins and his wife Alana Madill died in a car crash in the south of France.

Their baby daughter, Ayla, was injured but survived.

Porirua City wanted to name a landmark after Collins who was one of its favourite sons, and mayor Nick Leggett supported the stadium carrying the late All Black's name.
