Trailer for the 1943 serial, DAREDEVILS OF THE RED CIRCLE, starring Allan Lane, Kay Aldridge and Eddie Acuff.
Long though to be lost, DAREDEVILS OF THE WEST had gained legendary status as one of the most action-packed serials ever made, largely from the writings of serial historians Alan Barbour and Jack Mathis plus the four complete chapters that were restored in 16mm by The Nostalgia Merchant in the 1980s
. Although the breathtaking action sequences directed by John English and Elmer Clifton -- mostly shot on location in the Alabama Hills near Lone Pine, California -- served as stock footage in numerous Republic serials and westerns, DAREDEVILS OF THE WEST was never re-released theatrically.
A screening of a "complete print" -- with musical accompanied for chapters whose audio tracks had decomposed was held in 2008. This reconstructed version by The Serial Squadron is now available on DVD for future generations to enjoy.
