Happy Music Monday my friends! Hope yall had a great 4th of July. As you probably know Jay-Zs new album "Magna Carta Holy Grail" officially comes out Tuesday July 9th but has already been released to Samsung users with the app, and new lyrics of Jay-Z singing about Miley Cyrus have been revealed. In his song "Somewhere in America" Jay raps the lines, "Feds still lurking, they see Im still putting work in/ Cause somewhere in America, Miley Cyrus is still twerkin, HA!" But thats not all he continues to say, "Twerk, twerk, twerk, twerk, Miley, Miley twerk" and after some more "twerks" finally says, "Only in America". Its no secret that Miley has been tearing up the Internet with twerking dance videos that make her fans go crazy. And yes Miley has responded to this lyrical shout out from Jay-Z tweeting on July 4th, "Somewhere in America a Jay Z song is onnnnnnn" clearly poking at the fact that she sang about him first in her America themed song back in 2009. Miley sang about Jay-Z with her uber popular song "Party in the USA" with, "Thats when the taxi man turned on the radio/ And the Jay-Z song was/And the Jay-Z song was on!" So lets just say Jay-Z was returning the lyrical favor to Miley with this new shout out. Some are calling Jay-Zs rhyming a diss because he laughs during it with "HA!" or is that just Jay-Zs classic filler line? Jay-Z also says "Only in America" as if to say you wouldnt see something like this anywhere else which could be taken negatively. Its not really clear if Miley takes this negatively based on her tweet, but we guess not.Jays album "Magna Carta Holy Grail" officially drops for everyone July 9th so we can all listen to him rap about Miley as many times as we want. I want you guys to decide: Is Jay making fun of Miley? Or is him rapping about her actually a compliment?
