Wolves in Wyoming slaughtered 19 elk in a single evening on March 22 according to the Wyoming Game and Fish Department.
Seventeen of the dead elk were calves, while two were adult cows, reports the Billings Gazette.
They were killed near a feedground outside of the Bondurant area.
