BRUSSELS — Belgium officials confirmed that Paris terror suspect Salah Abdeslam has been captured alive during a police raid in Brussels on Friday.

"We have him," Theo Francken, Belgium's state secretary for asylum policy and migration tweeted.

Salah Abdeslam was allegedly injured in the leg and was captured in a massive raid in Brussels' Molenbeek district on Friday afternoon.

Authorities reportedly received a tip about Abdeslam's hideout on Rue Des Quatre Vents after Tuesday's raid in the Forest section Brussels, the Telegraph reported.

Tuesday's raid was not aimed at capturing Abdeslam but to collect intelligence. Officers conducting the raid were surprised to find the home occupied. A gunfight then ensued at the home, during which a 35-year-old man named Mohamed Belkaid was killed, while two others escaped.

DNA and fingerprints belonging to Abdeslam were also found in the home.

Abdeslam is the only one alive of the ten men believed to have directly participated in the Paris terror attacks that killed 130 people in November.
