Astronomers Discover The Biggest Structure In Universe

A new study has concluded that the system its researchers found, called BOSS Great Wall, likely spans about 1 billion light years across, making it the biggest known entity in space thus far.

Space is so massive that scientists have discovered enormous grouping galaxy superclusters that are believed to measure about 1 billion light years across, reports New Scientist.

As such, it has become the biggest entity identified in the cosmos thus far. 

The system is called the BOSS Great Wall; BOSS is an acronym for Baryon Oscillation Spectroscopic Survey which is a broad mapping project.
