Car dashcam captures 'meteor' over Scotland

Footage shows the moment a suspected meteor, described as a "fireball" passed over Scotland, near Aberdeen, on Monday night.

The filmer wrote online: "Driving home from work with my son. All of a sudden it went from being dark to light, like a light switch going on. Then big flash and went dark very surreal.

"Scary and amazing at the same time as I didn't know what had happened until I looked at my footage on my dash cam. Looks like a meteorite exploding."
