Lorde's David Bowie Tribute: Duncan Jones Praises
  • 8 years ago
Duncan Jones is applauding Lorde for her touching tribute to his late father David Bowie , over a week after slamming Lady Gaga for her performance at the Grammys.
The emotional tribute kicked off with a spotlight in the midst of an empty stage as the opening lines of Bowie's "Space Oddity" recording played in the background.
Members of the late legend's backing band from his 2003 A Reality Tour also played a medley of Bowie's hits before Lorde joined them on the red lit stage.
In contrast, Jones described Gaga's effects-heavy Grammys tribute using the dictionary definition of the word "Gaga."
While Lorde was arguably the most memorable performance of the Brit Awards, the event was also packed with musical acts from Justin Bieber , Rihanna and Adele , who took home four awards.
