Hero for a Day 2014: Rescuing Trout from Irrigation Canals in Wyoming

For 20 years, volunteers from Trout Unlimited have been netting fish stranded in irrigation canals when the waters recede each fall and returning them to the Shoshone River. In this October 2013 Hero for a Day workday, Field & Stream visited Cody, Wyoming, where 32 volunteers rescued 716 fish, including browns, rainbows, cutthroats, and brookies.
