Steve Clark, a 2012 Heroes of Conservation Finalist, led a 130-member Arizona Elk Society volunteer team in their effort to remove old fencing and restore water flow to a riparian meadow in the Coconino National Forest's Buck Springs area. The project in this unique habitat will greatly benefit elk, mule deer, whitetails, turkeys, and bears that find food and water there.
