Halfway between Seattle and Tacoma, editor-at-large Eddie Nickens wades the Puget Sound with Heroes of Conservation Finalist Dr. John Muramatsu, who has been a volunteer leader of the Duwamish-Green Chapter of Trout Unlimited for 21 years. In that time, he has helped complete a U.S. Forest Service survey of Miller Creek, secured funding and joined weekend work parties to complete stream restoration projects, and assisted in analyzing the results.
