On April 15, 2013 Disney Junior launched a “roarsome” new preschool show called Henry HuggleMonster, based on the book Im a Happy Hugglewug by Niamh Sharkey. The American, Irish, and British show airs on Disney Junior. The show follows young 6 year old monster named Henry Hugglemonster and his crazy family and their town called Roarsville. Henry has a large caring and friendly family that consists of; Summer Hugglemonster his sister, Cobby Hugglemonster his older brother, Ivor Hugglemonster, Nan-Oh Hugglemonster his grandmother, Grando Hugglemonster his grandfather, and his Daddo and Momma. Oh, and you cant forget the Hugglemonsters monster pet dog, Beckett. Every episode of Henry Hugglemonster features a song that is original as well. Henry has many friends too! His best friend Denzel Dugglemonster who loves to dig underground and his smartest friend Gertie Growlerstein. The show takes you through Henrys everyday life with his family which can be quite chaotic at times and can lead to some problems. Through the episode Henry uses analytical thinking to solve his problems and the issues that have arisen in the episode. The show promotes these problem skills and works to help children work through their struggles and issues. Henry Hugglemonster also has his own line of toys which include stuffed animals and playsets of the Hugglemonster family and the other monsters of Roarsville. He has interactive games that children can play on Disney Juniors website and your child can even make a pair of roarsome horns! \r
