Having a college degree is often equated with higher lifetime earnings, but a recent study by the Brookings Institution has found that the outcome is different for those who grew up poor.

Having a college degree is often equated with higher lifetime earnings, but a recent study by the Brookings Institution has found that the outcome is different for those who grew up poor. 
These college graduates, who came from households making less than 185 percent of the poverty level, ended up making 91 percent more overall than their lower income counterparts who only finished high school, reports the Washington Post.
