The popular travel website TripAdvisor has compiled a list of the country's best beaches based on "the quality and quantity" of user-submitted reviews over a 12-month period. Here's the top ten.
1. Clearwater Beach in Clearwater, Florida. With two-and-a-half miles of sand and serenity, it's said that this beach has it all.
2. Lanikai Beach in Kailua, Oahu, Hawaii. This tropical paradise's name literally translates to "heavenly ocean" in Hawaiian.
3. Siesta Beach in Siesta Key, Florida. This beach is said to have some of the finest sand in the world--and great sunsets, too.
