Some popular chains are serving hot drinks with surprisingly high amounts of sugar, according to a recent assessment by the U.K. group Action on Sugar.

Some popular chains are serving hot drinks with surprisingly high amounts of sugar, according to a recent assessment by the U.K. group Action on Sugar.

The biggest offender on their list is Starbucks’ Venti Hot Mulled Fruit in grape with chai, orange and cinnamon which contains about 99 grams of sugar, or the equivalent of 25 teaspoons per serving. 

A 12-ounce can of regular Coke has about a third of this amount.
