The Wacken Open Air's Metal Battle pits around 30 international bands against each other. In 2015, Canadian death metal crew Vesperia emerged victorious. This battle of the bands has been part of Wacken Open Air, one of the world's biggest heavy metal festivals, since 2004. Bands from over 40 countries have taken up the challenge over the years.
