Teen riding hoverboard loses balance and accidentally shoots cousin in head

ORLANDO, FLORIDA — Earlier this week an Orlando home was the scene of a horrific accident involving a hoverboard, and a gun.

18-year-old cousins Brandon Louis and Widmare Morame were playing Xbox with their younger cousin, Lavardo Fisher. In his brother's room, Brandon found a gun under the bed.

Gun in hand, Brandon mounted a hoverboard, but quickly lost his balance. The gun fired, a bullet striking 13-year-old Lavardo in the back of the head. He died later that evening from his injuries. The 18-year old cousin has not been charged, but a relative has been arrested – 35 year-old Walter Morame, the boy's uncle who reportedly owned the gun. Morame is an ex-con, and was charged with possession of a firearm by a former convict.

For all the adults out there who say "a gun is not a toy," well kids, this is why.
