Heartbroken raccoon tries to wake up its dead friend

A heartbreaking video has emerged of a raccoon trying to wake up its friend that was hit by a car in Toronto, Canada.
The footage, shot late last month, shows the distressed raccoon shaking its friend and trying to turn it around in the middle of traffic after it was hit by a car.
"The animal was hugely distressed, crying, shaking the other raccoon and turning it over, as if trying to get it to get up and run away," the filmer later wrote online.
"Some good people who were on the scene chased the raccoon away, otherwise another car surely would have hit it as well.".
