There has been a great deal of concern about dwindling lion populations across Africa, but a team of conservationists recently made a very hopeful announcement. A previously unknown group of lions has been found living in Ethiopia’s Alatash National Park.


There has been a great deal of concern about dwindling lion populations across Africa, but a team of conservationists from the University of Oxford along with researchers from Ethiopia, recently made a very hopeful announcement.
A previously unknown group of lions has been found living in Ethiopia’s Alatash National Park.  
The number is estimated to be between 27 and 54.
