Back in 1994, Everett appeared on the show already irritated with Rome, who frequently poked at the Rams quarterback by calling him “Chris Everett,” referring to female tennis star Chris Evert. It was a stupid joke, but clearly got under the skin of Everett. Rome was given one final warning, but his ego got the best of him.
