Jorge, el curioso (en inglés:Curious George) es una serie de libros para niños por los esposos Hans Reyersbach y Margret Waldstein. Estos libros cuentan las historias de un mono marrón curioso llamado George, que trajo desde África El hombre del sombrero amarillo a vivir a la gran ciudad.\r

Cuando se publicó por primera vez en Francia el libro Cecily G. y los nueve monos Jorge fue nombrado Fifi en ese país.1 Jorge fue originalmente llamado en el reino Unido Zozo en 1941, al parecer para evitar el uso del nombre del rey Jorge VI en un mono.1\r

Una serie de televisión de Jorge, el curioso debutó el 4 de septiembre de 2006 por el canal PBS.\r

Curious George is the main protagonist of a series of popular childrens books by the same name, written by Hans Augusto Rey and Margret Rey. The books feature a curious brown monkey named George, who is brought from his home in Africa by The Man with The Yellow Hat to live with him in a big city.\r

When the first story, Cecily G. and the Nine Monkeys was published in France in 1939, George was named Fifi.[1] In the United Kingdom, George was originally called Zozo in 1941, apparently to avoid using the name of the then King George VI for a monkey.[1] Books featuring the adventures of Curious George have been translated from the original French into many other languages in addition to English. The books are popular worldwide.\r

Sometimes dubbed the Original Adventures, these original seven titles are completely by the series creators, Margret & H.A. Rey.\r
