Israel has sharply criticised France for welcoming Iranian President Hassan Rouhani to Paris.
It says Tehran is being allowed back onto the international stage too easily following the nuclear deal.
In an interview with euronews, Aliza Bin-Noun, Israel’s ambassador to France, also questioned the choice of date for the visit.
“The Iranian President was just received here in France on International Holocaust Day. It is a very negative thing because, again, Iran is still involved in supporting terrorism in the Middle East, via their proxy Hezbollah or Hamas,” she told euronews journalist, Lesley Alexander.
“The Iranian rhetoric is very, very anti-Israeli, it’s the only who threatens another country in the world.
