The NYPD has shared that its officers helped to deliver a healthy baby girl named Nicola on Tuesday morning after her mother went into labor on FDR Drive.
A traffic backup is rarely caused by good news, but this was the case for an added delay on FDR Drive in Manhattan on Tuesday morning.
The NYPD has revealed through tweets that the road was the unexpected site of a baby’s entrance into the world.
One such post read, “There was a wonderful reason for this morning's FDR traffic! Say hi to Nicola Wong, safely delivered by NYPD cops.”
