Which statements of Mawlana argued evolution?

ADNAN OKTAR: Muhammad Iqbal has written; "The Reconstruction of Religious Thought in Islam," cited from Mawlana, page 140. "Mankind first appeared in non-living beings,” it says.

"Mankind first appeared with the Prophet Adam (pbuh), right?

The book reads, "Then it transformed from non-living beings into plants. It lived in those saplings as one of them for years. When it transformed from its non-living form which was very alien to us and from its plant form which was oblivious into animal state, it forgot everything about its plant state except from its tendency towards plant kingdom. We also know that, The Great Creator elevated mankind from animal status to human status."

What does this mean? God says that "We created you as the most honorable of creatures", "We created you from Adam and Eve."  So, where did he come up with that?
