NASA recently released a stunning video showing the eruption of a solar filament and the adjacent activity that occurred as a result.
A visually stunning solar event was captured by NASA and shared recently on its website.
In mid-December last year, the agency’s Solar Dynamics Observatory recorded video of a series of magnetic arches created by the eruption of an unstable solar filament.
The bronze-colorized images reveal what appears to be two waves cascading down in opposite directions from a darkened area; soon thereafter, bright lines of energy are formed between them.
