Defence & Diplomacy: Pak-Afhan Dialogue

Pakistan and Afghanistan suffer from a trust deficit but this deficit is being bridged gradually through talks and confidence building measures. In order to bring the Taliban to the negotiations table, concerted effort is required but the Heart of Asia Conference and the Quadrilateral initiative are showing results. The people of Afghanistan and Pakistan have a common history, culture and traditions. It is the governments that need to get their act together to ensure that peace and tranquility returns to the region so that both countries can rise to their tru potential.
