Dee Gordon Signs 5-Year, $50 Million Extension With Marlins

The Miami Marlins' busy week continues.
On Wednesday night the Marlins agreed to a five-year, $50 million extension with second baseman Dee Gordon.
The deal includes a sixth year vesting option worth $14 million.
Godron, 27, was an All-Star for the Marlins last season.
He won the National League batting title with a .333 average and also led the majors in stolen bases with 58.
It was the second consecutive season that Gordon led the league in steals.
Additionally, Gordon also led the majors with 205 hits while scoring 88 runs during his first season in Miami.
Gordon became the first player since Jackie Robinson in 1949 to lead the National League in batting average and stolen bases.
