New England Patriots defensive end Chandler Jones, who led the team with 12.5 sacks during the regular season, was hospitalized Sunday for an undisclosed issue after he reportedly visited the Foxborough Police Department, where dispatch records show he was evaluated by five officers.
Jones showed up at the police department with a "medical emergency" at 7:42 a.m. Sunday before being transported to Norwood Hospital shortly after 8 a.m.
In a statement, the Patriots said, "Chandler Jones was admitted to the hospital on Sunday and released that day.
He reported to work on time Monday morning and has participated in all meetings and practices since then."
