Varun Dhawan - Biography

Varun Dhawan was born on 24th April 1987. He belongs to a family of film makers. Varun is the son of David Dhawan who is a well known director. His mother’s name is Karuna Dhawan. Varun has an elder brother Rohit Dhawan and he too is a director.
Varun had completed his management studies from the University of Manchester. He desired to become a wrestler and was inspired by Rock the wrestler who turned towards films.
Varun has made his debut in the film Student of the Year which released on 19th October 2012. This film was directed by Karan Johar and it featured three newcomers including Varun himself.
Although this is the first time when Varun has come in front of the scenes, yet his association with films is not new. Varun began his stint in Bollywood by assisting his father David Dhawan. He later on worked as an assistant director for Karan Johan for the film My Name is Khan in the year 2010.
As a newcomer Varun met his co star Alia Bhatt and the sparks began to fly instantly. There were rumors that the duo was dating as they were spotted at quite a few hangouts in Mumbai. But nothing substantial has come to the front as yet.
There are also speculations that Varun is already into a committed relationship with a girl named Sara. Incidentally Sara is presently based in USA although they both had met in Mumbai 2 years before his debut.
Varun’s charismatic looks and acting abilities have made him the face of the youth since his first film itself. He has surely made his mark and has a bright future in the industry.
