Pallavi Jaipur took the audience at Lakmé Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2013 on a colourful bazaar tour. The collection called "BUZZar" was as vibrant in hues and fabrics as Jaipur's Bazaars.
Through the Chemeliwala Market, Pallavi selected silver and ivory to highlight her garments, while at Haliyon Ka Rasta it was the hot spicy shades of yellow.
From Johari Bazaar it was the hues of Meenakari and beads that made Pallavi opt for orange, pink and coral. The midnight blues were reserved for the striking evening creations.
Minis with heavily embroidered hemlines, yokes and sleeves brought the colour of the Jaipur bazaars, while the swinging draped blouses, wide elephant pants and the midis with attached long cape were rustic creations with a western twist.
Colour mixes were apparent for the garment as red/pink was vibrant for draped toga with gold belt, a pink/navy shaded georgette sari and a navy/red gown with gold embroidery on cuffs and hem created vibrant story.
Keeping the construction fluid, Pallavi worked with drapes and silhouettes that had a marked gracious ethereal feel. Pallavi's show stopper was extremely striking. As the lights dimmed an illuminated vision appeared on the ramp and slowly glided down.
It was TV and Bollywood star, Mandira Bedi in a lit bangle encrusted skirt and bikini top teamed with glittering tights. This was the entry that encapsulated the theme of the collection in one perfect creation.
Introducing the modern fashion conscious lady to the glamour of a city bazaar, Pallavi Jaipur's "BUZZar" had an exciting and wide offering.
