Police release video of ATM heist showing five unidentified thieves

TULSA, OKLAHOMA — Tulsa police are asking the public for any information that might help them identify five men in a security video, wanted for stealing the cash box out of an ATM at a Walgreens in December of last year.

The thieves pried their way into the store. They then attached a cable or chain to the ATM so that the driver of their stolen van could provide the force needed to break open the cash machine. After the big pull, they searched through the rubble for their loot.

Following a few seconds of struggle, their team effort is successful in ripping the cash box from the ATM.

The thieves were in and out in about a minute. The security camera indicates the theft took place at around 5:20 a.m. Cars drove by but nobody stopped to see what the commotion was.

Police received a report of the suspects spotted at the Vintage on Yale Apartments, but were unable to make an arrest. The exact amount that the thieves made off with was not disclosed but police say it was in the thousands.
