Taxi Driver Is Fined For Refusing Service To Al Roker

NYC taxi driver Mahabur Rahman has pleaded guilty to the violation of a service refusal and must pay a $500 fine after TV personality Al Roker submitted a complaint to the NYC Taxi and Limousine Commission.

TV personality Al Roker has been vindicated in a race-related incident he publicized online. 

On November 21st, he posted a series of tweets with one reading, in part, “Filed a complaint today after getting passed up again by a NYC Yellow cab. Cabbie picked up a white guy a block away.” 

Roker had been with his 13-year-old son Nick on the way to a doctor’s appointment.
