Golden Globes: Lady Gaga says, 'I always wanted to be an actress'

Lady Gaga may be a staple at the Grammys, but this is her first time as a nominee at the Golden Globes.
"I always wanted to be an actress.
This is the best thing that could have happened to me," she told reporters backstage after her win for actress in a TV movie or limited series for her role on the FX horror anthology "American Horror Story: Hotel."
The singer plays the glamorous but blood-sucking owner of the mysterious Hotel Cortez.
It's a role she's enjoyed particularly for its darkness, she said.
"You know, for many people, darkness is a bleak, empty space that's vacant and void," she said.
"But for me, it's an expression of our pain, and you can create something beautiful out of what makes you sad.
That's what I got to do here.
It was so full of release, there was so much I had to say."
