A Muslim woman, named in media reports as Rose Hamid, was escorted from a Donald Trump rally in Rock Hill, South Carolina, on Friday, January 8, after staging a silent protest against comments made by Trump about Muslims. In an interview with CNN before the rally, Hamid said, “I figured that most Trump supporters probably never met a Muslim so I figured that I’d give them the opportunity to meet one.”Hamid, speaking with CNN afterwards, said there were “nice people” around her, but that some attendees developed a “hateful crowd mentality” as she was being escorted out. Hamid also said one attendee said she was carrying a bomb as she was being escorted out. Storyful is unable to independently verify this claim.
