Shri Gangaram Chalisa - Full Song - With Lyrics
  • 8 years ago
Lord Baba Gangaram selected Jhunjhunu, a district town of Rajasthan, as the place of His appearance and Safdargunj, in the district of Barabanki of Uttar Pradesh as His Karmabhumi (Place for Selfless Action).

Lord Baba Gangaram was a grehastha (householder) incarnation like Lord Rama and Lord Sri Krishna and not a hermit or sage. But someone may confuse with the name "Baba". Infact "Baba", "Babaji" and "Balaji" are the nicknames often used to call deities, akin to "Sir" and "Lord". These nicknames are respectful addresses popularly used in North India. Such as the devotees of Lord Shiva and Hanuman address them as "Bhole Baba" and "Baba Hanuman" respectively. Similarly, Lord Venkateshwara of Tirupati is widely called "Balaji".
