The American Kennel Club has officially given full recognition to two breeds: the Sloughi and the American Hairless Terrier. 

The Sloughi is a hound dog. It's athletic, with a smooth coat, and medium-sized. Though just recognized by the club, it's got a distinguished pedigree.
