YUBA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA — A 9-year-old boy identified as Tyler Trammell-Huston was killed after he was attacked by his sister's three pet pit bulls on Monday, said the Yuba County Sheriff's Office. The was found in a trailer home around 10 a.m. in the 6200 block of Dunning Avenue in Linda, Yuba County in California. According to investigators Trammell-Huston's sister, whom he was visiting, left him alone with the dogs inside her trailer home for a few hours while she went to work on Monday. Trammell-Huston's sister has been identified as 24-year-old Alexandria Griffin-Heady. According to the family's lawyer Roberto Marquez, "When she left these dogs, and two were in the kennel by the way. The mother dog was not in the kennel, but the other two somehow got out of their kennel in the RV." When Griffin-Heady returned a few hours later, she saw that the boy had been attacked and called the police, detectives said. Trammell-Huston was taken to the hospital where he later died. Animal Care Services came to take the dogs away, but deputies say the agency had no official record of the dogs having a violent history. ABC 10 reports that some people are questioning why Tyler was left alone with the animals, with one relative telling the news station that the family was concerned about the pets after one of the dogs previously threatened another child. A video posted to YouTube that apparently belongs to Griffin-Heady shows her being affectionate with the dogs, which aren't showing any aggression in the footage.
