Archaeologists believe human remains discovered beneath the playground of an Edinburgh, Scotland school are those of a 16th century pirate.

Pirates have been sailing the open waters for some time, and hundreds of years ago, the punishment for being one of them was often swift and fatal.
Archaeologists believe human remains discovered beneath the playground of an Edinburgh, Scotland school belong to one such individual.
The bones were initially thought to be those of someone who lived during the Bronze Age, as they were badly degraded and buried alongside pottery shards from that era.
