The Coalition of Umno branch chiefs (GKCM) launched their 2016 Roadshow at Pasir Gudang, Johor today.

Spokesperson, Kamarul Azman Habibur Rahman said the coalition is determined to travel the country to explain why the party's president and Prime Minister Najib Razak must resign from leading the party and the country.

Speaking to 180 supporters of the coalition who travelled from Selangor, Malacca, Negeri Sembilan and around Johor, Kamarul likened Umno branch chiefs to seagulls following fishing vessels for scraps thrown overboard by fishermen. "This behaviour is detrimental to the party," he said.

Kamarul Azman also laid out five points that will be the underlying message that they will deliver to Umno members on their roadshows throughout the country.

"We challenge our detractors in the party to debate on issues that is currently plaguing the party and the country now," he added.

Kamarul, who is the branch chief for Taman TKK, in the Telok Kemang Division of Negeri Sembilan has himself faced Umno's disciplinary committee and is awaiting his fate.

So far nine branch chiefs has been suspended from the party for six years for their involvement in the coalition to oust party president, Najib Razak.
