Scamming strippers drugged and blackmailed rich clients for cash

NEW YORK CITY — Multiple New York news outlets are sharing the story of four strippers who ran an extortion racket inside the infamous Scores strip club until late 2014.

The women have all plead guilty to participating in a scheme to drug high rolling customers, then max out their credit cards and blackmail them with racy photos. They are due to be sentenced early in 2016.

The ringleader, Samantha Barbash recruited three other girls at Scores, in the words of one, to get revenge on the rich married jerks who disrespected them in the club.

When a banker, doctor, or executive would come in, they'd invite him to a private room and then slip more drugs than he expected, whether he expected any or not, into his drink. The women would then order rounds of champaign, Patron tequila, and dispense generous tips to themselves, then forge the mark's signature.

If the men complained, the women would threaten to release photos they took of themselves with the men, and sometimes of the men with each other.

But their plan fell apart when they charged Dr. Zyad Younan $135,000 in one night. He called the DEA who organized a sting. In late 2014, the DEA sent an agent to the club disguised as a wealthy exec. The girls gave him MDMA and ran their scam, resulting in all four getting busted.
The four women all plead guilty as part of a plea deal. Dr. Younan is also suing at least one of the women and Scores strip club.
