Freedom of speech in jeopardy, ten years after Mohammed cartoons controversy

Since the controversy sparked by the cartoons of Prophet Mohammed ten years ago, freedom of speech in Europe has been losing ground. That’s the point of view of Flemming Rose. He was culture editor of the Danish newspaper Jyllands-Posten in 2005, when he commissioned the cartoons that would set parts of the Muslim world ablaze.
Earlier this year, after the deadly attack on satirical weekly Charlie Hebdo in Paris, our correspondent in Denmark met with Rose, as well as two other key figures in the cartoons controversy. All of them need lifelong protection because of assassination attempts and death threats.
