Louisiana Police Officer Attacked By An Owl While Driving Patrol Car

In the early hours of Christmas Eve morning, an owl flew through a Covington, Louisiana police officer’s open patrol car window and started to attack him.
On December 24th, a Covington, Louisiana police officer encountered a surprise visitor, and it wasn’t Santa.
At roughly 1:45 am, an owl flew through Officer Lance Benjamin’s open patrol car window.
First, he felt something slam against his cheek, and soon after the bird started to scratch and peck at his head.
Officer Benjamin then lost control of his vehicle and landed in a ditch.
