Australian Woman Leaves Multi-Million-Dollar Estate To Homeless Children

Lily Fardell of Newcastle, Australia donated her multi-million-dollar estate to the aid of homeless children.

In life, Lily Fardell of Newcastle, Australia was highly regarded for her charitable acts and contributions.

Upon her passing, she ensured her good work would carry on, willing her portfolio, home, and everything inside of it to the aid the area’s homeless children.

Once liquidated, the total of the assets came to over 3 million dollars. 

Fardell specified St. Vincent DePaul, an international Catholic charity dedicated to serving those in need, as the recipient of the funds, which were given on Friday. 

Though the 96-year-old died earlier in 2015, the selling of her belongings took place over the course of several months.
