Cam Newton Takes Out Referee After 46-Yard Run

The New York Giants received a warm welcoming from Cam Newton in the first quarter. Newton nearly made it to the end zone after breaking free on a 46-yard run, getting pushed to the sideline on the 4-yard line. One referee paid the price of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. That’s gonna leave a mark. Two plays later, Newton found Ted Ginn Jr. in the back corner of the end zone to take a 7-0 lead.
