Orlando Bloom deported from India after visa blues, returns after government intervenes

British actor Orlando Bloom found himself in visa trouble in India, when he was deported after discovering that his e-visa application had been rejected.
After the interventon of India's external affairs ministry, Bloom's visa was granted and he took the next flight to India.
Bloom arrived in Delhi from London at 1.30 am on Saturday, 19 Dec., at the invitation of the Uttar Pradesh chief minister Akhilesh Yadav to promote tourism for a state government event.
After arrival, he was told that his e-visa application had been rejected, and deported on the 4 a.m. British Airways flight from Delhi to London.
After the intervention of India's external affairs minister Sushma Swaraj, the actor was issued a fresh visa.
Since arriving in India, Bloom has visited the Taj Mahal in Agra and said that he found the experience "amazing".
