Caught on camera: cyclist hit by train, lives to tell the tale and gets fined

OPOLE, POLAND — A cyclist in Poland decided to bypass a red light placed in front of railroad tracks, only for a speeding train to be flying across them at that very moment.

The cyclist rides right into the train, which was travelling around 90mph. Miraculously, the man survives the collision, with only minor injuries.

Police reports indicate the 26-year-old man was sober at the time. He has since been slapped with a $180 fine for ignoring the red light.

The accident took place on November 5, but Poland's national railway company released the footage to offer the public a lesson on how not to cross the tracks.
