A video has emerged from China of a one-year-old boy with an extremely rare medical condition - fur-like hair covering his upper back and other parts of his body.

The footage, filmed at a hospital in Sichuan Province on Saturday, shows black hair growing across the child's body including his back and several areas on his legs.

According to news reports, the rare disease was a kind of melanocytic nevus which required instant treatment to reduce the risk of it developing into cancer.
