Barcelona, Spain — A magician from Connecticut blew the mind of a orangutan at a Barcelona zoo. The moment was recorded on a smartphone and has since gone viral, racking up more than seven million views on YouTube in under four days.

Dan Zaleski, on vacation with his girlfriend, visited the orangutan and decided to show him a simple sleight of hand trick. Using only a coffee cup and a chestnut, Zaleski get the orangutan’s attention easily. Separated by the glass enclosure, Zaleski drops the chestnut into the cup, the orangutan watching. He then closes the lid and shakes it up, but as he does this, he sneakily dumps the chestnut out of the ape’s eyesight.

When Zaleski places the styrofoam cup in front of the orangutan and slowly opens the lid for the reveal, the orangutan realizes there is nothing in it, and is bowled over with laughter. Zaleski laughs with the ape, and lucky for the internet, his girlfriend captured the whole thing on tape.
