Harry Potter attraction at Universal Studios Hollywood to open April 7

Universal Studios Hollywood will take on a magical aura April 7 with the opening of the theme park's much anticipated "Inside the Wizarding World of Harry Potter," the company announced Tuesday morning .
The new attraction, part of Universal's $1.6 billion expansion of its east San Fernando Valley property, capitalizes on the wildly popular series of eight films that track the band of youthful wizards and their tormentors as they evolve over the years.
Universal has reaped big capital gains from its Harry Potter attractions at properties in Orlando and Osaka, Japan, said Robert Niles, founder and editor of Pasadena-based Theme Park Insider .
