A French judge issues a court summons for Guillame Soro, the speaker of Ivory Coast's Parliament, after he failed to appear in a case brought against him by the former Ivorian president's son. Soro, meanwhile, has filed a counter lawsuit for slander. Also, in Rwanda, the trial of two long-serving army officers begins in the capital Kigali. They stand accused of undermining state security.
And Tunisia is now the number one exporter of olive oil worldwide. Authorities are hoping it gets the country out of a slump.
